St Paul’s community centre conversion
Contract value: approx. £1m

This beautiful building had stood empty in the middle of Hyson Green for some time.  The client, MOD, wanted maximum residential units to make the scheme feasible.  We carefully balanced this economic driver with the need to restore aspects of the envelope to preserve the buildings character and win local authority support; steps such as reinstatement of original openings (which facilitated habitable rooms) and enclosure of ‘front gardens’.   This was met with enthusiasm from the planning officers and instigated a successful approval.
