Brief and Building Appraisal

Once our appointment is agreed we will visit your site once more to take a measured and photographic survey and discuss the brief in more detail.  We will then produce a set of basic existing drawings which are a prerequisite of both a planning application and building control application.

Many smaller extensions, internal alterations and some changes of use are classed as permitted development and no longer require a planning application.  The architect will advise on whether planning permission is required for your proposals.

This could also be an opportunity to review some examples of similar projects, exploring the level of quality in both space and finishes that you envisage for your project, depending on the level of detail offered in the previous meeting.
